Electrical Method

SEV

SEV.png

Our service offerings include vertical electrical soundings (VES). We take into account the existing relationship between electrode spacing, electric current intensity and the depth of investigation of the method to develop an acquisition with a configuration such as Wenner, Schlumberger, pole-pole among others, which will be chosen according to the characteristics of the target site; ultimately the issues of undersampling and oversampling (aliasing).

Following this configuration we will take measurements with different electrode spacings, so as to obtain after processing resistivity values for different depths along a vertical profile.

Obtaining data from several SEVs at strategic points allows us to obtain information on a wide area and thus understand the characteristics of the subsoil.

Combining SEV with techniques like electrical tomography allows for conclusions to be provided with less uncertainty and higher quality.

Electrical tomography

Electrical resistivity tomography is among the most requested services. Data acquisition is performed along strategically located profiles to better understand the behavior of the subsoil.

These acquisitions allow us to provide what we call geoelectrical profiles, that is, a 2D image of the resistivities of materials in the subsurface. These profiles can be interpreted to identify the presence of water or differences in compaction within the targeted area. We are able to perform multiple acquisition profiles, forming 3D data cubes.
